Fedora 17 Chinese font display dot matrix solution

In Fedora 16, the Chinese font is Wenquan Yizheng.

After Fedora 17, the Chinese font changed from WenQuanYi Zen Hei to WenQuanYi Zen Hei Sharp [1].

The special feature of this new font is that Chinese fonts of 12 lbs and below will be displayed as dot matrix fonts. Fonts larger than 12 points are displayed as vector fonts.

On the current display, at least on the display of the big D, the vector font display is also very clear.

So you need to disable the feature of displaying fonts as dot matrix fonts.

There are two ways:

First, install gnome-tweak-tool to modify the default font

Bash |     Copy code |  1 sudo yum install gnome-tweak-tool

After installation, modify it in the Fonts tab.

Second, disable directly

Bash |     Copy code |  1 zenheiset aa

Log out and log back in, so you can restore the FC16 display Chinese feeling.

zenheiset has three options, according to Wenquan's description of the black 0.8.38 (pangu), "zenheiset aa" will disable the inline dot matrix; "zenheiset bitmap" will enable all inline lattices Except for the 13-pound dot matrix that is still in the experimental stage; "zenheiset bitmapfull" will enable all inline lattices. However, on my computer, “zenheiset bitmapfull” and “zenheiset bitmap” have the same effect, only when the font size is 12 pounds or less, the dot matrix is enabled. Therefore, when you want to re-enable dot matrix words, enter the corresponding command.
