Windows and Linux dual system - modify the default boot order

The Windows 7 and Ubantu dual system are installed on the computer. Since the Linux system is used less frequently and the default startup items are not tolerable, it is necessary to modify Windows as the default startup item.

Since the system boot program on the computer is GRUB, the modification will of course fall on the Linux system.

Modify the default boot startup item in /boot/grub/grub.cfg (the default startup item is automatically loaded by default, default="0"), because the file is more important before the modification He backed up (cp /boot/grub/grub.cfg /boot/grub/grub.cfg.back)

There are 5 boot options on the computer, and the Windows option is exactly 5th. Therefore, the default startup item is changed from the original default 0 to 4.

Before modification (grub.cfg.back is backed up before modification):

After modification:

Note grub The .cfg file is a read-only file so the modification needs to be modified by the root user.
