Start UltraEdit-32 and click on the menu. Next, open the bad MPEG file, starting from the offset 00000000h, use the mouse to select the same range of data from 00000000h-000000c0h, and then click the menu "Edit" /Paste, replace the normal data that has just been copied Data, and finally save the file and exit MPEG bad, the entire restoration work is completed

Third, use WinHEX to repair

Repairing MPEG with WinHex is similar to UltraEdit. It uses normal MPEG header data to replace bad MPEG header data. The specific repair steps are as follows:

Run WinHex and click on the menu "File"/Open to open Bad MPEG file, find the abnormal location of the header data, record the offset (for example, 00000060); then click on the menu "File" /Open to open a lossless MPEG file, starting from the offset 00000000, with the mouse Drag to the offset just recorded (for example, 00000060), note that it is slightly larger than the offset, for example, drag to the offset 00000070, and then click the menu "Edit" /Copy Block /Nomally to copy this segment of data (below) 2);

Next, in the WinHex main window, click the menu "File" /Open to open the bad MPEG file, also starting from the offset 00000000h, select the same range with the mouse (for example, 00000000 -00000070) of the data, and then click on the menu "Edit" /paste, replace the normal data that has just been copied out of the bad data, that is, replace the same part of the MPEG with normal MPEG header data;

After saving and exiting WinHex, at this time you try to play with a variety of MPEG playback software, there will be no more "unrecognized format" or "incorrect format" prompts, MPEG repair is successful!

Use VCDGear to fix

If you see a green bar or noise on the screen when playing MPEG files, it means the MPEG file is broken. It is recommended that you use VCDGear3.55 to fix it. VCDGear specializes in repairing corrupted data in MPEG. The repair steps are as follows:

In the VCDGear main window, click on the “Unzip/Convert” drop-down list at the top left, select “mpeg -> mpeg” for MPEG repair conversion, and check “Fix MPEG error” Click "Load" to select the MPEG file to be repaired, and a window will pop up asking where the repaired movie will be saved.
