Foxmail recipient name is modified

When writing emails with Foxmail, when you type the email address in the "To" field, Foxmail will automatically set the recipient's name as the email address in the body. The characters, such as [email protected], are named "software" and look very uncomfortable. We can change this situation in two ways.

1. Modify the template

Foxmail is so self-proclaimed because of the role of the macro "%TONAME" in the template, we modify the template to make Foxmail obedient. Take ordinary mail as an example. Click “Tools→Template Management” in the menu bar of the main window of Foxmail to bring up the “Template Management” window. In the left column of the window, click "Ordinary Mail" under "New Mail Template", then select "%TONAME" in the template editing window in the right column to delete, save the template and close the window. Templates in other formats are the same as this modification.

Although modifying the template makes Foxmail obedient, the recipient's name needs to be filled out by himself. We can use the address book to let Foxmail display the recipient's name correctly, instead of using the @ character to refer to the recipient.

2.Using the Address Book

In order for Foxmail to correctly display the recipient's name, you need to first enter the recipient's email address into the address book. Take [email protected] as an example. Click “Tools→Address Book” in the menu bar of the main window of Foxmail, click “New Card” in the address book window, and enter “Computer Report Software Version” in the name field. Enter the email address in the E-mail address field, click the "Add" button, and then exit.

In the write mail window, click the "To" button on the left side of the recipient bar, double-click "Computer Report Software Edition" in the address book to add it to the recipient list, after confirming drop out. In this way, the recipient's name in the body is correctly displayed as "computer newspaper software version" instead of "software". You can also enter the recipient name named in the address book directly in the address field of the recipient, and Foxmail can display it correctly.
