The main test of AS SSD is also the most common test score on the Internet. It is 8 related tests such as continuous, random and access time on the main interface, as well as compression and file copy test. Let's start with a brief explanation of how each test of AS SSD is done.

The first is continuous testing (Seq). AS SSD will first write a file of 1GB size to the tested partition in 16MB size, and then read it in the same unit size. This, the final calculation of the average score gives the result. Once the test is complete, the test file will be deleted immediately.

Then there is a random single queue depth test (4K). The test software will generate a 1GB test file in 512KB unit size, and then write a random 4KB unit size in its address range (LBA). Read the test until you run through this range, and finally calculate the average score to give the result. Due to the generation steps, this test will generate a total of 2GB of data writes to the hard disk. After the test is completed, the test file will be temporarily retained.

To the random 64 queue depth test (4K-64Thrd), the software will generate 64 16MB test files (1GB total), and then at the same time in 4KB unit size, in these 64 files. Write and read tests, and finally the results are average results. This step also produces 2 GB of data writes. Once the test is complete, the test file will be deleted immediately.

Next is the data access time test (Acc.time), the software will read the full address range (LBA) in 4KB units, and the write size will be in 512B units. Within the 1GB address range, the result is given by the average score.

After obtaining the above results, AS SSD will also calculate the score according to its formula, but the score of AS SSD is not very representative. I suggest that you do not need to care. As long as you know the above 8 results is enough. A few tests of the above main interface, a complete test will produce a total of 5GB of writes, so it is not necessary to recommend that you do not run casually.
