An alternative Ghost application skill

Symptom:
The author's hard disk is 20GB, divided into 5 areas. Recently, Partition Magic Pro 7.0 was used to merge the two partitions of D and E. In the process of merging, there is no data on the E disk. Backup, the important files in the E disk after the merge can not be read, and can not be displayed in "My Computer".

Problem Analysis:
Previously used Partition Magic to merge and split hard disk partitions, this situation did not occur, this time may cause damage to the file partition table during the merge process, so E The important files on the disk cannot be read, but the contents of the file are not damaged. They can be retrieved by other software.

Solution:
Since Ghost can generate an image file for the entire hard disk or partition, GhostExp can extract any file from the image file, so we can pass Ghost.exe and GhostExp.exe Two tools to retrieve the file. The specific operation is as follows:

1. Generate a mirror file from Ghost.exe and save it in other partitions or hard disk;

2. Run GhostExp.exe under Windows and open it. The image file just generated, you can see that the files of the first two partitions are displayed in a few places;

3. Select the file to be restored, right click, select "Restore" command, pop up In the dialog box, select the location to restore to, and then click "Restore".

4. Repeat the above process to recover all the required files.
