Is there a way to quickly install WIN98? Is there a handy tool for copying the hard drive?

GHOST! The English original meaning is ghost, which is a kind of hard disk mirroring software produced by SYMANTEC. What powerful functions does he have? Let's break down one by one:
1, copy between hard disks:
Some friends may encounter this situation, such as two hard drives with the same capacity, one of which has a working operating system, and the other If it is empty, then you don't need to install WIN98 on the second hard disk, you only need to use GHOST to complete the work in a short time.
First install two hard drives on the same machine, set the master-slave state, in DOS state (sometimes, GHOST can also run under WIN98, but in order to prevent the situation from happening, it is recommended that you run in DOS environment B) Run GHOST, then select LOCAL, DISK, TO DISK, then GHOST will show the situation of two disks, then click the first disk (original disk), press GHOST prompt to confirm, then click the second After the disk (target disk) is confirmed, GHOST starts the copying work. There will be a blue progress bar at the top of the screen to show the status of the progress. Generally, the data of about 1G can be completed in about 10 minutes.
To operate this function, be careful not to make mistakes when selecting the original and target disks. If you choose to reverse, you will only get two empty disks after copying.
For two hard drives of different capacities, this method can only be used to copy from a small hard disk to a large hard disk, and vice versa. After copying the large hard disk, you can also use the partitioning software to find out the remaining space (because GHOST is to treat the remaining space as idle).
For a hard disk with bad sectors, the system operation will become unstable after this copy operation, so be careful.
2, from the hard disk to the mirror:
Some friends may have an idle hard disk in their hands, so you can use it to back up the data of the hard disk you are using. This way, you can use this feature.
Install two hard drives on one machine, run GHOST, select LOCAL, DISK, TO IMAGE. At this point GHOST will display the situation of two disks, then select the hard disk to be backed up, and then select the location where the image file is placed (often in a directory of the second hard disk, the directory must be established in advance!) Then enter a name in the prompt bar at the bottom of the screen, such as DISKIMG, then press Enter, you can do the backup work, there is also a progress bar to demonstrate the progress process.
3, from the image to the hard disk:
After the backup of the previous step, maybe one day your hard drive will be broken, it does not matter, is there a GHOST! Quickly take out the backup hard disk, install it on the same machine, use the system disk to boot (floppy disk is also available), run GHOST, then select LOCAL, DISK, FROM IMAGE, and then select the image file you backed up to be stored in the location, in the above example Is DISKIMG, then specify which hard drive to recover. Once confirmed, the recovery tool will begin. The huge system will be fixed in ten minutes. Is it very convenient!
4, from partition to partition:
You may have this requirement, two different hard drives, just want to have the same system and tool software, but other partitions are different. This kind of work can also be done by GHOST.
First install the two hard drives on the same machine (the same hard disk copy partition does not seem to be big!), run GHOST. Select LOCAL, PARTITION, TO PARTITION. Then select the original partition (because the installation of two hard drives, so the partition may be very much, so here must be clear about the partition order of your two hard drives, is interlaced or sequential, can not be confused), confirm Then select the target partition (the first partition of the second hard disk). After confirmation, GHOST will start working, and the progress bar will show the progress of the progress. After you finish, you have two hard drives that you can boot.
Because it is a partition copy, so the partition that requires two hard disks to copy here must be the same size. If they are inconsistent, the other partitions of the target disk will be deleted! Please note.
5, from partition to mirror:
This feature can be said to be the most likely to use the function. That is, the operation of the backup operating system WIN98. Today's friends hard drive is bigger! This will have multiple partitions, and because of the customary reasons, the C drive is often installed with the WIN98 system and some commonly used tools! For the inherently fragile WIN98, the significance of backing up the entire system is very important. So this feature does not require a second hard drive, just put the image in another partition.
Execute GHOST. EXE, the main interface of GHOST can appear on the screen. Select LOCAL, PARTIION, TO IMAGE, then select the hard disk, partition, confirm, enter a backup name, such as WIN98BAK, and press Enter. At this time, the screen will prompt three options, namely NO, FAST and HIGH. The meaning of these three is: NO: no compression processing during backup, so the fastest, FAST: a certain compression process in the backup, the speed is faster. HIGH: Compressed during backup, the volume is small after compression, but the speed is slower. These three options can be chosen according to your hobbies. Finally confirmed, GHOST started the backup work.
6, restore the partition from the mirror:
If your WIN98 is broken, chaotic, file error, then no longer need to re-install WIN98, as long as there is GHOST everything is easy to handle.
Run GHOST, select LOCAL, PARTITION, FROM IMAGE, and select the storage location of your backup file (GHOST extension GHO). Then select the partition you want to restore (this is often the first partition of your hard drive!) After confirming, GHOST will start to work, it is as simple as that. In just a few minutes, your system will be restored.
Because the GHOST backup uses the original system, it is recommended that you ensure the integrity of the system and the software used before the backup. Clean up the recycle bin, install the drivers for each device, and then back up. . Also don't forget to back up your important data for a while before restoring the backup, as these are not included in the GHOST image.
6, check function:
GHOST also has a check function to check your image file and the working state of the disk is good, these functions are not used in many occasions, so Lao An will not introduce much.
7, LPT transmission function:
GHOST can also support the data transmission function of the LPT parallel port, you can easily connect the laptop and desktop through the parallel port to exchange data!
