How to restore Win8.1 network list in Win10 system

Win10 Preview 9860's network selection window, the PC settings open window replaces the function of sliding out the list from the charm sidebar by the side stroke gesture. Many users think that this is a retrogression, so they don't like this network selection window. How can I restore it to the Win8.1 network list? Since this operation is done in the registry, before proceeding, Please use the cleanup master in the soft media cube to do the corresponding registry backup work, just in case.

The specific modification steps are as follows:

Enter regedit in the Start menu search bar or "Run" and press Enter to open the Registry Editor and navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionControl PanelSettingsNetwork

▲ Right click on the Network folder icon and select “Permissions”,

▲In the “Permissions” window that pops up, click the “Advanced” button below

▲ In the "Advanced" window, click "Change (C)" above

▲ Enter the user name of the current system login in the window "Enter the object name to be selected", and then click "OK" to exit.

Note that you can go to the user account of the control panel to confirm the exact name. After inputting, click the “Check” button next to confirm whether the entered user name exists: if it exists, it will be automatically typeset as the exact name ( Underlined), does not exist or the input is incorrectly given a prompt. If it is your own computer, if you are in trouble, you can enter “Everyone” directly, so that all users of this system can get permission (convenient and the security will be reduced at the same time, but don't care too much about the preview system).

▲Click “OK” to close the “Network Advanced Security Settings” window, select the “Administrators” tab in the “Security” tab, confirm that “Full Control” is selected, and then click “ OK "App modification.

▲ Then double-click "ReplaceVan" in the Network folder in the Registry Editor. In the pop-up window, change the "Value Data" from the default 1 to 0, and click "OK" to exit.

Close the registry editor and you're done. Now the Win8.1 network list should be able to slide out from the right.

The above is the specific step to retrieve the Win8.1 network list. For users who don't like the Win10 network selection window, you can use this method to change it to the Win8.1 network list.
