First step: Synchronize workgroups
Regardless of the version of Windows operating system used, the first step is to ensure that the working group names of the computers connected to the network are the same.
To view or change the computer's workgroup, computer name, etc., right click on "Computer", select “Properties>;

If the information needs to be changed, please “ Computer Name, Domain and Workgroup Settings & rdquo; column, click “Change Settings 

Click “Change 

Enter the appropriate computer name/workgroup After the name, press “OK">;

After this step is completed, please restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
Second Step: Change the settings related to Windows 7
Open “Control Panel Network and Internet Network and Sharing Center Advanced Sharing Settings 

Enable “Network Discovery>,&ldquo "File and Printer Sharing", "Public Folder Sharing", "Shared with Password Protection", please select "Close Password Protected Share";

Note: Media Streaming is best Also open; in addition, in the "Family Group" section, it is recommended to select "Allow Windows to manage home group connections (recommended)".
The third step: shared object settings
Now, we turn to shared objects. The most straightforward way: Drag and drop files/folders that need to be shared directly into a public folder.
1. If you need to share some specific Windows 7 folders, right click on this folder and select “Properties>;

2, click “Share”tag, click &ldquo ; Advanced Sharing & rdquo; button;

3, check "Share this folder", click “ Apply & rdquo;, & ldquo; OK & rdquo; quit.

4. If a folder is set to share, all its subfolders will be set to share by default.
In the second step above, we have turned off password protected sharing, so now we have to make some changes to the security permissions of the shared folder. Right click on the folder you want to share and select “Properties”. On the "Security" page, click “Edit” .

5. Next, please click the “Add” button.

6. After typing Everyone, press “OK” to exit.

7, select "Everyone", select the appropriate permissions to be assigned to Everyone in the permission selection field.

Step 4: Firewall Settings
1, Open “Control Panel/System and Security/Windows Firewall> Check the firewall settings to ensure that <;File and Printer Sharing> is allowed .

The fifth step: View shared files
1, then open “ control panel & rdquo; > & ldquo; network and Internet & rdquo; > & ldquo; view network computers and devices & rdquo; > & ldquo; (corresponding Computer/device name) & rdquo;

This method does help to share files, but network security is reduced due to the ability to turn off password access
