This article will teach you how to install the print server under win7.
If you have never used a printer before and now want to use a print server to implement a shared printer, you need to follow the steps below to add a printer port and install the printer driver.
1. Select Start -- Control Panel and select View Devices and Printers.

2. Click Add Printer.

3. Choose to add a local printer.

4. Select Create a new port, select Standard TCP/IP Port for the port type and select Next.

5. Enter the IP address of the print server, click Next, the windows system will automatically create the corresponding port.

6. After the port is created successfully, select the device type in the next interface and click the Settings button. In the pop-up page, select the LPR protocol, add the queue name to lp1 and check the LPR byte enabled. Count, click the OK button and continue to select the next step.


7. Next, you will be prompted to install the printer driver. If your printer model is in the system integrated driver list, you can directly select the corresponding model and click Next to install it. If you don't have your printer model, choose to install it from disk and then install the printer driver from a CD or other storage device. Continue to click Next after completing. After




above steps are completed, you can use the print server to enjoy the shared printing.
