Windows 7 requires a computer configuration

  
If you want to run Windows 7 on your computer, please see the configuration required below:
• 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
• 1 GB memory (based on 32-bit) or 2 GB of memory (based on 64-bit)
• 16 GB of available hard disk space (based on 32-bit) or 20 GB of available hard disk space (based on 64-bit)
• with WDDM 1.0 or DirectX 9 graphics devices with later drivers
To use certain features, there are some additional requirements:
• Internet access (may have network broadband charges)
• Resolution, additional memory and advanced graphics hardware may be required to play video
• some games and programs may require a graphics card compatible with DirectX 10 or higher for optimal performance.
•For some Windows Media Center features, you may need a TV tuner and other hardware
• Windows Touch and Tablet PC require specific hardware
• Family groups need a network and a computer running Windows 7
•Requires compatible optical drive when making DVD/CD
• BitLocker requires Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2
• BitLocker To Go requires USB flash drive
• Windows XP mode Requires 1 GB of RAM and 15 GB of available hard disk space
• Music and sound require audio output devices
Product features and graphics may vary depending on system configuration, and some features may require advanced or additional hardware.
Computers with multi-core processors:
Windows 7 is designed to work with today's multi-core processors. All 32-bit versions of Windows 7 support up to 32 processor cores, while the 64-bit version supports up to 256 processor cores.
Computers with multiple processors (CPUs):
Commercial servers, workstations, and other high-end computers can have multiple physical processors. Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate allow the use of two physical processors to provide optimal performance on these computers. Windows 7 Lite, Home Basic, and Home Premium only recognize one physical processor.
