XP system upgrade to Windows7 mode selection

Q: I want to upgrade my Windows XP system to Windows 7, to ensure that all files except the C drive are not affected, what should I do? Is the original software to be reinstalled?
A: This problem is actually very simple. There are two ways to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7:
One is the upgrade installation method (on the existing system, upgrade the existing system, keep the existing System data and software).
The second is a new installation method (installing a new system independently and completely, has nothing to do with the original system).
It is recommended to use a new installation, because upgrade installation will inevitably encounter some unexpected problems. If the installation is new, as long as there is enough space in the partition, there will be basically no problem. In the new installation, format the C drive when Windows selects the installation location, and then install it (you can also boot to the Windows PE environment, format the C drive and then install it). As for the original software, of course, you have to reinstall it.
