Windows 7 lets Messenger to the system bar icon

Windows 7 brings us a new Taskbar and JumpList feature that makes it easy for us to manage desktop programs or forms. However, there may be a large number of users who are temporarily unable to adapt to the location of the icon after installing Windows Live Messenger under Windows 7. Compare the following figure:

However, in the Taskbar mode, we can use the JumpList to achieve a faster operation experience. First, find the shortcut to the program and enter its properties. As shown below:

After switching to the “Compatibility” tab, check “Compatible mode to run this program in compatibility mode” and in the list Select “Windows Vista”.

Finally, turning off Live Messenger and re-running will reveal that the icon has returned to the previous mode. On the contrary!
