Installing the Cisco VPN Client

The "classmates" who need to work from home must have a VPN connection to the company network. Finally, the company's machine (Lenovo Thinkpad T61) is installed with Windows 7, and VPN is of course essential. So I found the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.0.4.0300 version on the Internet to be installed.

The problem is, the installation process prompts "Internal Error: 2738", find some solutions on the Internet, sort out and share it with everyone, I hope to help the "student" who have the same problem.

In addition, I installed this VPN Client on my desktop computer without any problems, so I judged that it was a problem with individual machines. I started to explain my solution.

1. If you have previously installed the Cisco VPN Client, you need to uninstall it first and then need to reboot.

2. Download Citrix DNE Update, which provides two tools, one for Fix DNE and one for Update DNE.

As shown above, you need to download winfix.exe and dneupdate.msi (note 32/64-bit).

First run winfix.exe to fix DNE.
