Solve the compatibility problem between Windows7QQ2009 and WMP12

Users who have installed Windows 7 may find that when QQ2009 and Windows Media Player 12 (hereafter referred to as WMP12) are running at the same time, compatibility issues may arise between the two. Specifically, when using WMP12 to play video files, if you receive a QQ message, WMP12 will suddenly stop.

Many users think that there is no such problem under Windows XP system, it appears in Windows 7 system, so it should be Windows 7 system compatibility problem. Actually, this is only caused by the default settings of the system.

The solution to this problem is simple. Right click on the "small speaker" at the system tray and select "Playback Device" from the pop-up menu (Figure 1).

Then switch to the "Communication" tab in the pop-up "Sound" dialog box (Figure 2). The system defaults to "Reducing the volume of other sounds by 80%". At this point, you have to change the default to "Do nothing".

After setting, click “OK” button to exit.

From the solution, the above problem is not that WMP12 and QQ2009 are not compatible under Windows7 system. Similarly, when you run WMP12 and other software at the same time, if you also encounter the "WMP12 pause" situation, you can refer to the above solution.
