Windows 7 system recovery options features

Generally, if your computer cannot be started, the Windows 7 operating system will automatically enter the system recovery function, which is a gray progress bar. I believe that everyone in this interface should be familiar with it. This is the system repair feature that comes with Win7 Ultimate, and “Startup Repair” is designed to diagnose and fix problems that prevent Windows booting, thus avoiding a time consuming reinstallation process. The boot fix was originally introduced in Windows Vista, and now Windows 7 automatically installs the boot repair tool on the operating system partition so that you can access it at any time. If you are unable to boot successfully, Windows 7 will automatically load the boot fix, which will scan for problems on your computer (such as registry corruption, system file loss, or invalid startup configuration data) and automatically fix them if possible. Then restart as usual. Details about using the Startup Repair feature and what you should do if the feature does not start automatically. The following small series will explain the function of the windows7 system recovery option.

1 Startup Repair

Fixes some issues that might prevent Windows from starting properly, such as missing or corrupted system files.

2 System Restore

Restore computer system files to an earlier point in time without affecting your files (for example, emails, documents, or photos). If you use System Restore from the System Recovery Options menu, you will not be able to undo the restore. However, you can rerun System Restore and select other existing restore points.

3 System Image Recovery

You need to create a system image in advance to use this option. A system image is a personalized, partitioned backup that contains Windows, programs, and user data such as documents, photos, and music.

4Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool

Scan for errors in your computer's memory. For details on how to use the Windows 7 Memory Diagnostic Tool, see How to Check Memory Reliability Using the Windws Memory Diagnostic Tool.

5 Command Prompt

The windows7 command prompt is available to advanced users. I believe you still remember how to install windows7 in XP system, using the command prompt mode. Call the win7 standard installer directly from the command prompt to invoke the hard disk partitioning feature in the installer.

The above five functions are the function introduction of the windows7 system recovery option. In the future, we will introduce a detailed introduction to the use of these features in our tutorial.
