1. Find a speaker icon at the bottom right of the desktop (to the right of the taskbar), right click on it, find and open the [Play Device] menu in the pop-up context menu;

This will pop up a " "Sound" window, find it in the Select Device box and right click on [Speaker], select and open the first [Configure Speaker] menu;

on the left side of the new window <;Audio Channel” Select [5.1 Surround] and click Next;

Uncheck all options in the menu “Optional Speakers” on the left side of the new interface to enter the next step;

Left in the new interface On the side, uncheck "Surround Speakers" (also because 2.1 channels do not have this device), go to the next step;

Then enter the [Configuration Complete] interface, click Finish to close the window.

Knowledge extension, about 5.1 channel:

5.1 channel refers to the center channel, front left and right channels, rear left and right surround channels, and so-called 0.1 Channel subwoofer channel. A total of 6 speakers can be connected to a system. 5.1 channel has been widely used in various traditional theaters and home theaters. Some well-known sound recording compression formats, such as Dolby Digital and DTS, are based on the 5.1 sound system. “0.1” channel, is a specially designed subwoofer channel, this channel can produce a subwoofer with a frequency response range of 20 ~ 120Hz.
