Windows7's "Backup and Restore" feature, which allows us to customize and control system backups. In the Windows 7 "Backup and Restore" center, here we can complete the backup and restore of the system is all operations. The following is the author to explain to us the main points we should pay attention to in the backup data.

1, system backup

Windows7 installation after deployment is complete, it is necessary to do a Windows backup and recovery system for this Migration is very necessary. In the "Backup and Restore" center, click on the "Set Backup" link to launch the "Widnows System Backup" wizard. We can save the backup to any non-system partition with enough space on the local, and of course it can be saved to a network location, such as a file server. Enter its UNC address in the network location, along with its network credentials such as username and password. If you want to save it locally, I recommend that you save it in a partition of another local hard disk. For backup content, Win7 saves the data in all users' libraries, desktops, and Windows folders by default, and also creates a system image. Of course, some backup items are not what we need, so we can customize what we want to back up as shown in Figure 5. Here we can check the content that you want to save. If you do not need to save the system image, you can remove the check mark in front of the system image including the drive System Reserved, (C:).

2, System Restore

Generally, when system errors, instability, or reinstalling system migration user configuration, we can pass “ Restore & rdquo; function to quickly restore or migrate system configuration. Enter the Windows 7 "Backup and Restore" center, users can restore from backup as needed. For example, you can restore only “ my files & rdquo;, you can also restore “ all user files & rdquo;. In addition, we can also restore from other backups. Of course, if you have done a backup of the system image before, you can perform a restore of the entire system. Click the “Restore System Settings or Computer” link to enter the System Recovery window and click on the “Advanced Recovery Method” link to enter the “Advanced Recovery Method” window. Here, there are two recovery methods for you to choose: First, restore the computer with the image, provided that the system image has been created before; second, reinstall the system with the Win7 installation disk, and then restore our files from the backup. These two methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, and everyone can choose according to their needs.

There is no doubt, Windows system image backup is the most complete system backup of a backup, which is the system administrator must be a job to do. In fact, doing system image backup is not only based on precautions, but also to facilitate the rapid deployment of systems in the LAN. A dedicated system image backup tool is provided in Windows 7, so we don't need a third-party tool to easily back up the system image.

Also in Windows7 of & ldquo; backup and restore & rdquo; Center window, click on the left pane of the & ldquo; create a system image & rdquo; link to launch the & ldquo; create System Image & rdquo; Wizard. For security reasons, it is not recommended to save the system image on the same disk as the system, because if this disk fails, the system will not be able to recover from the image. Based on this consideration, you can save the system image on a DVD disc or save it somewhere on the network.

(2) straw & ldquo; a system repair disc & rdquo;

In Windows 7, we can create a system repair disc using the tools provided by the system. In the “Backup and Restore” window of Win7, click the “Create System Repair CD” link in the left pane to launch the “Create System Repair CD” wizard, which can easily create a system according to the wizard. Repair the disk. You can see that the two key files Winre.wim and boot.sdi are on the CD, responsible for system booting and repair.
