Msconfig makes Windows 7 system boot faster

We know that on Windows systems, there is a very useful program - msconfig, the system configuration utility. The program is set for system startup and add-ons. A reasonable configuration can greatly improve the startup speed and operating efficiency of the system. In the Windows 7 system, we can open the "System Configuration" window by directly typing msconfig in the search box of the start menu and pressing Enter.

Because of the increasing number of installed programs, and now many programs are automatically loaded by default, this will undoubtedly make the system start very slow, such as anti-virus software, office software, some optimization software, etc. When the system is booted, it is automatically loaded. In addition to setting in the software to not run when the system starts, you can also delete some infrequent startup items through "Start" in msconfig. Since the environment of each computer installation software is different, I won't say more here, but I can tell you that all the programs in the "Startup" item can be banned. If you find that the system has encountered problems during startup, you can do it again. Restore one by one.

Here we mainly talk about how to make the system start faster by using msconfig settings - instead of simply prohibiting third-party software. In fact, it is also simple. In the "Boot" tab in the "System Configuration" window, we see a "timeout". The default time is 30 seconds, and we change it to "3".

Click "Advanced Options", select "2" in the "Number of Processors" drop-down option, and check "Maximum Memory". The numbers here do not need to be modified.

Click OK, go to the "Tools" tab, select "Change UAC Settings" to change the user account control settings, click "Start" here, after setting msconfig to exit, you will be prompted to restart the system. Choose to restart.

The theory says that this can improve your system startup time, but because Windows7 is divided into multiple versions and optimized for different hardware devices, if your hardware is not high, it is installed. Windows 7 Ultimate, also opened all the special effects, it will undoubtedly be very slow. Also, I don't recommend that you use a third-party optimization tool that can be said to be useless.

Off-topic, if you are particularly interested in speed, you can further turn off the UAC of the system - in fact, I do not recommend this!

UAC (User Account Control), which requires the user to provide a permission or administrator password before performing an action that may affect the operation of the computer or perform changes that affect the settings of other users. By verifying these operations before they are launched, UAC can help prevent malware and spyware from being installed on your computer or making changes to your computer without permission.

However, some users feel "extra" because of UAC's prompts, so here we can choose to close.

How to turn off UAC for Windows7?

Open the control panel and find "User Account". In "Change User Account", click "Change User Account Control Settings". In the pop-up window, pull the scale bar on the left to the bottom. "Never notice."

This way, UAC will not bother you again. But this has lost the last security barrier of the system, please use it with caution.

Hint: We recommend that you use the genuine Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, so you can avoid more insecure attacks and enjoy more value-added services.
