Computer tutorial: Win7 backup, restore function detailed

Backups and restores have traditionally been key components in the system. In Vista, system backup and restore functions have been enhanced. So, what kind of backup and restore schemes are provided in Windows 7? This article will give you an experience on this aspect.

1Using "System Restore"

System Restore is a standardized system function that has become a core component of the system since WindowME. As the system is upgraded, this feature is more complete. Win7 system restore function is still greatly improved compared with the previous system

right click on the desktop <; computer" select “ attribute & rdquo; enter the control panel system & rdquo; page, left window Click on the “System Maintenance” link to enter the “System Restore” setting window.

1. System settings and file version restores

For Windows 7, system restore includes system settings restore and text version restore, which is what I usually call the system environment And shadow copies. Normally, Win7 only has system maintenance enabled in the system partition, and includes both system restore and file version restore. However, Win7 can separate system restore and file version restore. The usual practice is to enable system restore and file version recovery at the same time. In other partitions, only file version restore can be enabled, which not only improves system performance, but also saves disk space. The setting method is System Maintenance. Select the disk partition to be set, and then click the “Config" button to enter the configuration page. You can see the restore settings under the three options: select the first item "Restore system settings and previous versions of the file" will open the system restore and shadow copy of the partition; select the second "only restore the previous The version of the file” only turns on the shadow copy function of the partition; selecting the third item "Close System Maintenance" will turn off both functions in the partition.

2. Manually create a restore point

Open the partition's system restore", the system partition will create a restore point to the system (default once a day) or in the system device application software and A restore point is established when the driver is working. For other non-system partitions, only the shadow copy is turned on, and when the file in the partition is modified, a shadow copy of the file is created. It should be noted that when setting maintenance for a certain partition, you first need to create a restore point for the partition, so that system restore is available when performing system restore or file recovery. The method of creating a restore point is very simple. Click the "Create" button in the "System Maintenance" tab to pop up the "Create" dialog, and follow the wizard to complete the restore point.

3. System Restore Method

In general, system restore is a last resort. Generally, when a certain software or driver is installed, software conflicts, system instability or even crash. Only when it is used. As far as Win7 is concerned, there are two ways to restore the system: one is to enter the system, in the system properties, and click on the system to maintain the system partition. Then click the "System Restore" button to launch the System Restore Wizard,

Select a recent restore point according to the wizard to complete the system restore process. As for the restoration of the file version, right-click on the file and select “Restore previous version”; then select a version from the file version list to restore or copy.

Sometimes the system is more serious and cannot be started in normal mode. "System Restore" At this point, I can try to enter safe mode to start "System Restore". If you can't even enter the security mode, you can choose from “ System Recovery Options & rdquo; Select “ System Restore in the console to perform a system restore offline. Press the F8 key while the system is booting to enter the system “Advanced Startup Options” menu, select “Repair Computer” and press Enter to enter the “System Recovery Options” console. In this process, you need to select a user and enter a password to log in. Select and click <;SystemRestor to launch the System Restore Wizard, the restore process is the same as in normal mode. In addition, running “StartupRepair starts the system repair function, running “SystemImageRecoveri” to recover the system from the backed up system image. Vista, which needs to be explained, can also be used to restore the system under offline conditions. However, it needs to use the Vista system device disk to guide the system into the "system recovery option" console. In Windows7, there is no need to install the disk because Win7 has integrated it into the system.

2Free Customized Backup and Restore

Windows7 Backup and Restore Function and Vista The biggest improvement over similar features is the addition of new options that allow me to customize and control system backups. Execute “ control panel & rdquo; all control panel items & quo; backup and restore & rdquo; can enter the Win7 backup and restore & rdquo; center, this I can complete the system backup and restore is all operations.

1. System Backup

After the Windows7 device is installed, it is necessary to make a Window backup, which is very necessary for system recovery and migration. Backup and Restore Center, click “ Set Backup & rdquo; link to launch “ Widnow System Backup & rdquo; Wizard. You can save the backup to any non-system partition in the field with sufficient space, but you can also save it to a network location, such as a file server. Enter the UNC address in the network location, as well as the network credentials such as their username and password. If you want to save in the field, I recommend that you keep it in the partition of another hard disk in the field. For backup content, Win7 saves all users' libraries, desktops, and windows folders by default, and creates a system image. Of course, some backup items are not required, so I can customize what I want to back up as shown in Figure 5. In this case, I can check the content that I want to save (such as the library, the user-related content in the system disk, and the application sequence information, etc.). If you do not need to save the system image, you can remove the check mark in front of the drive SystemReservC: System Image. .

After customizing the backup task, you will need to pay special attention to the backup task. By default, the system will execute the backup plan every Sunday at 19:00. This is very easy to be ignored by some administrators. Once someone set up a backup task and did not modify the default backup plan, I thought the system was backed up. In fact, the system did not perform a backup, because his PC was running at 19:00 on Sunday. In this regard, you can modify it according to your needs, generally set the backup to a relatively idle time period of the working day. In addition, you can set the frequency of system backup. For system security requirements, you can set up a backup every day. After the Window backup setup is complete, click on the “Enable Schedule” button and the system will perform the backup according to the schedule you set. Of course, you can also perform “Backup Now  or change your backup plan.

2. System Restore

Generally, when the system is faulty, unstable, or reconfigured, the system configuration can be quickly restored or migrated through the “Restore” function. Enter the Windows 7 Backup and Restore Center, users can restore from backup as needed. For example, you can restore only <;file” also restore “ all user files” In addition, you can also restore from other backups. Of course, if you have done a backup of the system image before, you can perform a restore of the entire system. Click the “Restore System Settings or Computer” link to enter the System Recovery window and click on the “Advanced Recovery Method” link to enter the “Advanced Recovery Method” window. Therefore, there are two recovery methods for you to choose: First, use the image to restore the computer, provided that the system image has been created before; second, reinstall the system with Win7 device disk, and then restore my files from the backup. These two methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, and everyone can choose according to their needs.
