How to change the Win 7 system My document save location

Windows system "My Documents" is used to save some important files, such as my documents, my pictures, my videos and my music, etc., it is very convenient to operate. However, the save location of my document is on the C drive by default. When more and more files are saved, the space of a system disk will be smaller and smaller, which will affect the running speed of the system. The following small series teaches you how to modify the location of my document in the Windows 7 system, and move it to a non-system disk, so as not to affect the speed of the system.

Open "My Computer", go to the "C:\\Users\\your Username" folder, or open your personal folder by clicking on your login name in the upper right corner of the Start menu.

Click on the login user name to open the personal folder

By default, my documents, my pictures, my videos, my music and downloads are all folders. Save in this directory.

Right-click on My Documents, open the Properties dialog, switch to the Locations tab, enter the folder address you want to save, for example D:\\My Document , and click OK to save your changes.

If the newly set folder has not been created yet, the system will pop up a dialog box prompting us to select "Yes".

Finally, the system will also prompt us to "move all files from the original location to the new location", still select "yes".

After waiting for the system to move all the files in my document to the new directory, I have finished modifying the location where my document is saved. Similarly, my images, my videos, my music, and downloads of several folders can be used to modify the save location.
