The audiodg.exe process causes the CPU usage to soar

I don't know if you noticed such a situation. When using the audio or video playback software such as Thousands of Listening, Storm, and other audio games under Windows 7 system, the audiodg.exe process will cause the CPU usage to soar to over 80%. As shown in Figure 1, the highest value I have detected has reached 90%). After that, the audio share of audiodg.exe can be maintained between 6% and 8% after the playback software enters the playback state.

Under normal conditions, the transient increase in CPU utilization is not uncommon, but the application form into the general body of work, CPU share is still maintained in the system processes between 6% to 8%, it seems to have Users are difficult to accept. Although I don't know the root cause of this situation, I found a simple solution after asking some Windows 7 users.

speaker icon at the right-click the system tray, select "playback device":

Subsequently, the system will pop up a dialog box, double-click the playback device that you currently use. (FIG. 2.)

Next, in the new dialog box pops up, switch to the "enhancements" tab, the system will not enabled by default to "Disable all enhancements" Enable (i.e., check the "Disable all enhanced performance ", shown in Figure 3.) Finally, save the settings

exit.

Special Note: there are users believe that it should switch to the Advanced tab in Figure 4, the system default check the "exclusive mode" cancel. The author did three tests on this and found no significant effect.
