Alternative skills Windows 7 system can also "downgrade"

looks like a lot of people will sneer, why not have to play low-end features version? However, the other side asked, why use the flagship version to streamline the system and slim down? Why not use the function, why should I put it in the hard disk? So, can Windows 7 Ultimate be downgraded to Home Premium or Home Basic?

Okay, let's talk about this--

We all know that after upgrading to the Windows 7 Ultimate in the low-level version, there will be no "Windows Anytime Upgrade" in the Win7 system. It's functional, and a warning prompt will appear if you try to downgrade.

Microsoft has forbidden downgrades for a reason. Low-level systems that cover a higher version of the system may cause some confusion.

However, if you really want to downgrade but don't want to format the reload, there is a workaround, open the registry and navigate to:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MacHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows NT \\CurrentVersion"

Then, on the right side, modify the value of "EditionID" to "HomePremium", and then modify the value of "ProductName" to "Windows 7 HomePremium", let the installer think that the current system is a lower one. Version (note that the modified registry value name here must match the system name on your installation disk) and then reinstall it with the original installation CD (requires reactivation).

Change the registry

It should be noted that this method can only be downgraded to the Home Premium. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to protect the data, or to back up the data, and then reformat and then install it.
