Windows 7 boot screen lock problem

According to foreign media reports, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 users recently reported that the latest version of the Windows client and server platform will be locked when the system boots into the "Please wait" screen. Problem, the system will not be able to perform the next startup process.

The Microsoft Knowledge Base recommends that users need to reboot the system when there is a lockup problem. "When starting Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, the operating system will stop responding when you enter the 'Please wait' screen. You need to restart the system with the Ctrl+ALT+DEL shortcut."

Currently, Microsoft has not released an update for this issue. However, the Microsoft Technical Support Center has provided a hot fix download. Microsoft said that Windows 7 SP1 will integrate the hot fix.

It is reported that Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 are expected to be beta at the end of July 2010, and the RTM version will be released in the second half of 2010.

Microsoft also said that the lock-up problem is most likely caused by the collaboration between Windows Error Reporting (WER) and AppLocker.
