Modify the registry to make Win7 have a quick start function

There are many third-party optimization auxiliary software that can help users start the acceleration for Windows XP system. Although there are currently software for optimizing the speed of Windows 7 systems (such as Master Lu, Vista Optimizer, etc.), such software has always been "over-optimized, resulting in the loss of some system functions", as seen by users such as Windows Vista and Windwos 7. Auxiliary software that is "not mature enough".

In the case that the third-party optimization software is "not mature enough", some users turn to the potential of Windows 7 system, and by means of modifying the registry, the purpose of speeding up the system startup is achieved.

Run the registry editor, expand to the branch HKEY_LOCAL_MacHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlsession ManagerMemory ManagementPRefetchParameters, then find and double-click "EnablePrefetcher" in the right window, and change the system default value "3" to "0" in the pop-up dialog box. (As shown below), save the settings and exit.

The above method is relatively "traditional". In Windows XP system, by modifying the registry, it can also achieve the purpose of speeding up the system startup.

If you are using a Windows 7 system and the CPU is dual-core, then you can have a faster boot speed than other operating systems. ZOL users who recommend this method to the author believe that this is the unique feature of Windows 7 that can really "enjoy XP users"!

In the Windows 7 system, click the Start menu, enter "msconfig" in "Search Programs and Files", press Enter to open the "System Configuration" dialog box, please switch to "Boot" in this dialog box "Label, then click on the "Advanced Options" button in the red circle in Figure 1.

In the upper right part of the "Boot Advanced Options" dialog box that pops up, the number of processors in Windows 7 system is 1 by default. If you are a dual-core user, please select "2" (as shown in the figure). 2).

After the modification is completed, click the "OK" button to save the settings and exit.

Edit Comment:

In the first method, speeding up Windows XP and Windows system startup speed is achieved by modifying the registry. However, in the actual application process, such a method is only a "theoretical acceleration", and does not really accelerate - or the effect of acceleration is very inconspicuous. However, in the second method, since Windows 7 is specifically designed for the acceleration function that has been turned on by hardware devices, it is the first method that cannot be compared in practical applications.
