How to prevent Windows 8 system from automatically clearing thumbnails

Steps
First, log in to the system as an administrator. We need to use the administrator's privileges to change the system settings. Win+R opens and runs, enter “%userprofile%” and make sure to continue to enter AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows in the address bar (note that since the path is a hidden folder, you need to check Show hidden in View - Options - View) Files, folders, and disk drives can be targeted to this address).

Then right click on the Explorer folder to open the Properties window, click on “Security", then click “Advanced” in the Security dialog.

Click “Add” - “Select Subject”, enter SYSTEM in the text box to get the SYSTEM permission item, click “display advanced permission”, type change to “reject”, Click the advanced permission in the figure below, and click “OK” when finished.

After returning to the previous interface, first click on “Apply”Save Settings in the lower right corner, then click “Active Access” and enter the just added in “Select User” SYSTEM, then click “View Active Access" to confirm that the information you just added is correct.
