Practical methods for installing Windows 8 into a separate partition

Friends who are pursuing new technologies must be very interested in Windows 8. I believe that you have already downloaded the just released Win8 development preview. However, many people will encounter a problem when installing, that is, if you install directly in the Windows environment, Win8 development preview will be upgraded directly on the current system.

Although you can still enter Win8 and the old system separately after installation, it is very inconvenient because the files are mixed on one partition. Plus Win8 is only a preview version, there are many unstable factors, in case there is a problem. It is likely to affect your current system usage, so the best way is to install Win8 on a separate partition.

If you have a burner and a blank DVD, burn the Win8 image file directly into a CD and then install it by CD-ROM. However, what should I do if I don't have a burning device? I was struggling with this problem at first, but fortunately I finally found a solution. In fact, the principle is the same as Win7.

First of all, the Win8 image is decompressed with WinRAR and other software, do not directly run the setup file of the root directory, but enter the subdirectory source folder, there is also a setup file in this folder, we only need to run This file will install Win8 into a new partition. If you have a virtual drive in your computer, mount the image directly, and run setup from the source folder. You can also save the decompression time.

After starting the installation, you first need to choose whether to search for the currently available update file, then the choice of installation method, remember the Custom mode we want to select (the second item), and then you will see the familiar The partition selection screen is up, so let's get started. If after a while, you don't want Win8, just format the partition where Win8 is located.
