Win7/Win8.1 disables the "Program Compatibility Assistant" two methods

  
 

Microsoft has started to add " Program Compatibility Assistant" to the system. It means that when a program runs with compatibility problems with the current system, it will pop up automatically. The Program Compatibility Assistant" window guides you through the problem. As shown in the figure:


But through the long-term trial of the Microsoft Chief, "Program Compatibility Assistant" has hardly solved any problems, and can be "compatibility" in the program properties. The compatibility mode is set in the sex option, and there is no "Program Compatibility Assistant" to solve it. It is a harassment. Can not set the compatibility mode to solve, "Program Compatibility Assistant" can not help. So, we simply banned it. The following Microsoft chiefs share the method of disabling the "Program Compatibility Assistant", taking the current mainstream Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 systems as an example.

Method 1: Disable the Program Compatibility Assistant Service

Win + R Shortcuts to bring up the "Run" dialog box, enter "lds;services.msc", confirm, open “service & rdquo; management window. Figure:


Find the Program Compatibility Assistant Service item, double-click the service item to open the Properties window, set the startup type to “Disable", Service Status Click “Stop” After confirming that the window is closed and the system is restarted, the "Program Compatibility Assistant" is disabled.

Method 2: Close the Program Compatibility Assistant via Group Policy

Win + R Shortcuts to bring up the "Run" dialog box, enter "lds;services.msc", confirm, open &ldquo ;Local Group Policy Editor", in the list on the left, navigate to "User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Application Compatibility". As shown in the figure:


Double-click "Close Program Compatibility Assistant" in the right window, open the configuration window, select “Enabled”, OK, close the window
