[Two methods] How to solve the boot disk self-test problem in win10 and win7 dual system?

The computer with win10+win7 dual system, every time you start win10, then start win7, then the disk will be self-tested. The self-test time is very long and will damage our hard drive. So what is the reason for this, is there any way to solve it? In fact, the reason for the win7 boot self-test is that the win10 boot uses a quick start, so the win10 shutdown is not complete, resulting in a self-test disk when switching to win7. Below I provide two ways to ensure that the disk self-test problem can be solved, you can refer to it!

First introduce the first method

This method is set in the win10 environment. We press the WIN+X key combination on the desktop to select the control panel, select the hardware and sound in the control panel, and then select the power option to enter the interface as shown. The laptop can right-click on the battery icon in the lower right corner of the desktop to select the power option.

Next, we click on the left side of the power option and click “Require password when waking up”, “Select the function of the power button” & rdquo;“Select the function to close the lid” All right.

Then we click “change the currently unavailable settings”.

After we pull down on the right side, find the shutdown settings, and the "Start Quick Launch" ““sleep”“hibernate” Remember to click “Save Changes” after removing them.

Addition: We can also use the command to turn off the hibernation function. In the start menu, all applications find the command prompt in the windows system, enter powercfg -h off in the CMD command and press Enter. Or press WIN+R to enter CMD and press Enter to enter the command prompt.

The following describes the second method

This method is set in win7 environment (this method is to close the win7 disk self-test function directly in the registry) So it works for all win7 disk self tests). First press WIN+R to open the run, then enter regedit in the run dialog and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. You can also find the run in the start menu.

Then on the left side of the open registry, click "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Session Manager", click and click "Session Manager" in the registry. Find ""BootExecute“ on the right.

Double-click "BootExecute" and delete the value "autocheck autochk" and click OK to exit the registry.

Notes

The first method is performed in win10 environment; the second method is performed in win7 environment.

The second method is suitable for win7 disk self-test under any circumstances, because the win7 disk self-test is turned off from the registry root.

This method is also suitable for win8/win8.1+win7 dual system. Win8 and win8.1 also use a quick start.

Disk self-test is completely unnecessary behavior, we must ban it.

The above is the two solutions for how to solve the boot disk self-test problem in win10 and win7 dual system. You can refer to any one of them to solve it. I hope to help you!
