Win10 preview build 10525 update details New compression storage management function

This morning, Microsoft pushed the win10 10525 preview version for members, providing a lot of new features for those who update users quickly. As described by Gabriel Aul, head of Microsoft's Windows Insider project, one of the updates is the upgraded color option for Windows 10.

“We have received a lot of feedback on the default color of the Start Menu, Notification Center, Taskbar, and Title Bar. You all want to change these settings to reflect your personal preferences. So, this feature (now it will be retained too early) is now available to you in build 10525. This feature is turned off by default, but you can turn it on yourself (Settings > Personalization > Color). In addition, Aul also said that this version also adds a new memory management function for you to try:

“In Windows 10, we have increased A new concept, called memory management, called compressed storage, is a kind of page compression memory collection technology.

This means that when your memory management feels that there is memory pressure, it will compress pages that are not in use, rather than writing them to disk. This will reduce the amount of memory required for each process, allowing Windows 10 to retain more applications in physical memory for a period of time. This can also help different Windows 10 devices to provide better system responsiveness. Compressed storage will exist in the system processing work set. Because system processing is used to preserve stored data in memory, its working set grows larger as memory is being called by other processes. This is visible in the Task Manager, which is why the system process seems to consume more memory than the previous version. “
