2, open the Control Panel, navigate to System & Security > Create and manage hard drive partitions. Right-click on the system partition where you installed Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 (usually the big C: partition), click on the compressed volume, and enter the amount of space you want to reserve for the Windows 10 system.

3. Right-click on the blank volume you just created, click Create Simple Volume, and set the volume format to NTFS.

5. Create an installation system medium.

1) If you want to install Windows 10 from a DVD, right click on the ISO file and save it where you want to save it. After the ISO file is created (it will take some time to download Windows 10), insert your blank disc into the DVD drive. Open the ISO file you just created with Windows Disk Image Burner (the download is not available here, the Internet is very easy to find) and burn it into a blank disc.

6. Boot from the flash drive.

1) If you are running Windows 8.1, go to Settings > Upgrade & Restore > Restore in Advanced Startup, click Restart. When your PC is in the recovery screen, choose to use another operating system and then click to select the device you have installed into the Windows Installer.

2) If you are running Windows 7 system, shut down your computer directly. Press the power button and the PC manufacturer's default setup function button (may be ESC, DEL or F1-F12, or ask your PC manufacturer for help) and boot to the boot device menu. Select the device you have installed into the Windows Installer.

7. From the Windows 10 settings screen, select the Windows language and version you want to install. You can skip the process of entering the product key directly. If you just want to try it, if you have already purchased the key, you can also choose to enter it directly. From the "Which installation do you want to use" screen selection customization: only install Windows (Advanced). Select the device volume you created for Windows 10 and choose Next. This way Windows 10 is installed on your PC.

After finishing, restart your computer and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Windows 10 computer. Every time you reboot, you can choose between your current system and Windows 10. If you want to continue to use dual systems and want to upgrade, you can purchase the full version in the Windows Store and have upgraded.
