WinXP Tutorial: Two Steps to Repel Piracy Win XP Warning

Delete WGATray.EXE

1. First restart your computer, enter safe mode, log in to the administrator account - ensure that you have access to Windows\\system32 and Windows\\system32\\dllcache The permissions of the path. There is a file called WGATray.EXE under both paths. You must remove both WGATray.EXE under both paths -- this will prevent Windows from popping up at startup "Piracy XP" balloon.

2. Enter the registry, go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\ Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\WinlogonNotify

Delete the folder "WGALOGON"; this will Windows will not be able to load any DLL files about WGA.

Restart your computer and you will say goodbye to Microsoft Genuine Advantage's "harassment".

Tips for deleting WGATray.EXE

Step 1: WGATray.EXE icon-->Right-->Delete-->Do not press ‘ OK & rsquo; button

Step 2: Ctrl+Alt+Del-->Open Process Manager-->Find WGATray.EXE-->Delete-->After the delete confirmation box appears Don't press ‘OK’Button

Step 3: First press the delete confirmation button of the process manager, then press the delete button with the fastest speed.

Step 4: If WGATray.EXE under Windows\\system32 does not appear, it means the operation is successful. Continue to remove WGATray.EXE under Windows\\system32\\dllcache.
