How to reinstall Windows

1. Perform a virus and malware scan on your computer and then reinstall Windows. Although the reinstallation process will overwrite any infected system files, you can infect files on other computers. Run the scan and reinstall to remove the infection or delete the infected files so they can't reinfect your system after reinstalling, you are done. When the scan is complete, turn off your anti-virus software, then start reinstalling and turn it off until the process is complete.

2. By copying the data to a flash drive, the external hard drive or internal hard drive is separated from your Windows partition partition, giving you a backup copy of your documents, pictures and other important data. If these options are not available, use removable media, such as a writable DVD disc, to back up your files. For other software, you will rediscover your Windows product key, the product key, which should contain the installation CD or the Windows key if it comes to connect to Windows installed on your computer. Write down the details, such as your username, computer name, and workgroup name, to make sure they are entered correctly after reinstalling.

3. Determine how you want to reinstall Windows. Give you two options to choose from: a complete reinstallation, use the “custom installation option” or “in-place upgrade reinstall using” to upgrade the installation options. A complete reinstallation lets you choose the drive partition to format and then reinstall, although it is not required to be formatted. In the same way, reinstalling the overlay system files, in the same way, upgrading to another version of Windows will not reformat the drive. 4. Uninstall any Service; Pack updates you have previously installed, if you are not going to format the Windows partition. This is done by clicking on the “Installed Updates” link, in the “Uninstaller” window, selecting the Service you want to delete; Pack Update, click the “Uninstall” button. Windows may not work correctly before restarting the installation process because the software will see during the reinstallation process, unauthorized downgrades will not be removed if the service pack is updated.

5. Insert the Windows installation CD into your computer's DVD drive. If you want to perform an "in-place upgrade" reinstall, run the "setup.exe" file from the CD, while the Windows is running. If you plan to do a full reinstallation, restart your computer and when prompted, press any key to boot from the CD in the DVD drive.
