Solving 16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem Encountered Invalid Instruction Problems

Q: I am a computer major freshman. When I write a program with TC2.0, I will report an error if the graphics system is involved: the 16-bit MS-DOS subsystem encounters an invalid instruction. If you don't involve graphics, you won't be able to use other compile software or prompt the same error. Now every time you go to the lab, it is very inconvenient. I am using the Lenovo notebook ideapad Y430tsi, Windows XP system. Thank you!

A: This requires the use of the registry, remember to back up the registry first.
Open the registry, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlVirtualDeviceDrivers, then locate the item VDD in the right window, click the right mouse button, select "New", then select the multi-string value, type "VDD" in the value name box, then Press Enter and quit Registry Editor.
If this problem continues, verify that the correct version of the Command.com file is installed in your system's system root/System32 folder. This will resolve the 16-bit MS-DOS subsystem encountering an invalid instruction error.
