Windows 10 KB3140743 cumulative update still caused damage to many PCs

Computer Store News: Microsoft released a cumulative update of Windows 10 KB3140743 a week ago, but since then, many users have encountered various problems before and after installation. To make matters worse, Microsoft has not yet removed it from Windows Update, confirmed the problem, or gave a temporary solution. On March 2nd, there were already reports in the media about the problems caused by the update, and even ridiculed it to “completely consistent with the aforementioned updates”.

Due to the special mandatory update mechanism of Windows 10, the unfortunate users who can't install the update can only watch the machine fall into the quagmire of unlimited restart.

On March 3, someone gave a solution to fix the KB3140743 update, but many PCs still hit the same error. Even more awkward, sometimes the cumulative update can be installed normally, but then it will be exposed.

A user explained in the Microsoft Community Forum:

When I installed KB3140743 (64-bit Windows 10 1511 version cumulative update), although it seems to be complete, the computer also displays &lsquo The upgrade is 100% complete, please do not turn off your computer within a few hours & rsquo;, but it is stuck here.

I can only use the USB storage disk to start the Windows 10 installer, select ‘fix & rsquo; to restore to the previous restore point.

As of now, there is no good way, unless you use a special means to completely hide the "KB3140743" update in Windows Update.
