Microsoft reiterates Win10 privacy policy: no violation of user privacy

Computer Store News: Microsoft Windows team member Terry Myerson today reaffirmed the Win10 system's privacy policy to users in a blog post to eliminate user bias against Windows 10. Terry insists that Microsoft strictly follows the following privacy principles from the beginning:

• Microsoft will collect some data through Win10 in order to provide users with a better experience;

• Users can control which data will be collected by the system;

After Microsoft explained the Win10 privacy policy in three points:

First, collect data to improve the product. Microsoft will collect some limited data through Win10 to provide users with a safer and more reliable user experience. This data includes the user's anonymous device ID, device type, and application crash data that Microsoft and its developer partners use to continuously improve the stability of the application.

Second, Microsoft provides users with a personalized Windows system based on user input. Users have always had absolute control over the information Microsoft collects for personalizing Windows and keeping settings in sync.

Third, the most important thing is that Windows 10 and other Microsoft software are not like Google ChromeOS or Android. They don't scan your email or other communications just to push targeted ads to you. Record and file content, no matter what privacy option you choose.
