Win10 Mobile Preview 10166 Quick Start Demo

Computer Store News: Microsoft launched the Win10 Mobile Preview 10166 Express Edition update for Windows Insider users. The desktop version and the mobile version came together for the first time. But Windows 10 Mobile Build 10166 did not add a lot of new content. The new content of this update is mainly battery icon changes and UI optimization and core application store out of test.

The problem we found in Build 10166, the new version of the People app dynamic tile does not seem to be activated. User reports can only work after a hard reset, it is not clear whether Microsoft retains animation effects. While the wallet app is already available, the Build 10149 wallet app was previously incompatible with the store, and this issue has now been resolved.

Other core applications have also been updated to include Xbox and store apps. We are experimenting with Build 10166 on the Lumia 1520. So far the CPU doesn't seem to overheat. The previous Windows 10 Mobile Build was experiencing excessive power consumption and CPU overheating, so it seems that Build 10166 is a big step forward.

Overall, Build 10166 meets Microsoft's goals: a faster, smoother experience. Of course there are still many improvements.
