Browse Safe Mode Start Log File

To resolve startup issues, check the startup log file Ntbtlog.txt and note the drivers and services that failed to load when you started your computer in Safe Mode.

This log file is located in% SystemRoot% folder (by default Winnt folder). This log file lists the devices and services that are loaded (and failed to load) when the computer is started in Safe Mode. You can open and view log files using a text editor such as Notepad.

Use a list of drivers and services that failed to load during startup to help determine possible causes of startup issues.

Note: Some startup issues may occur early in the boot process. In this case, Windows may not have saved the startup log file to your hard disk.
