Windows NT "NTLDR is missing" fault resolution

After class, I opened the student server in the computer room, the results can not be started normally, given the prompt "NTLDR is missing, Press any key to restart". This can be broken. This server is a domain server. The student machine is set to log in to the domain, and the student hard disk is protected. The student's work and materials are all stored on this server. Reinstalling the system is definitely too late, and it will cause data loss. I quickly rushed to the Internet to find out the cause of the failure. It is known that Ntldt, Ntdetect.com, Boot.ini files are missing or corrupted. So quickly ran to another server room (the same settings for the two servers), search for "NTLDR", the results of the three files are all in the root directory of the C drive, immediately copy these three files to the C root of the failed server In the directory, restart the computer, the fault remains. In a hurry, the author suddenly thought of using the "failure recovery console" to repair the fault, the result really solved the urgent need. The specific operation is as follows:

1. Start the computer with the Windows 2000 installation disk and enter the installation interface of Windows 2000 Server;

2. The interface prompts "To repair the installation of Windows 2000 Chinese version, please Press R", press R to continue;

3. The interface prompts "To repair Windows 2000 installation with the Recovery Console" option, press C to continue;

4. Screen recovery The console prompts "C:Winnt, which Windows 2000 installation to log in to (press Cancel, press Enter)?", type "1" here, and press Enter;

5. Type the administrator password , and then press Enter;

6. Type Copy F:Simpchin

Windows2000ServerI386Ntldr c:, press ENTER (Note: The disc used by the author is a Windows 2000 3-in-1 disc, if it is other The installation disk, you can use the search command to find the location of the ntldr file, usually in the i386 directory. "f:" is my CD drive number);

7. Type Copy F:Simpchin

Windows2000ServerI386Ntldr c:, press the Enter key, the system prompts Whether to overwrite the file, type Y, and then press Enter.

Restart the computer. When the class bell rings, the server has started up normally.
