Vista sidebar RSS subscription live update

The sidebar of Windows Vista has always been popular with users, including an RSS feed display (Figure 1) that displays the latest news in real time. The author is also one of the loyal users of this service, through which you can quickly receive the latest information content on the desktop. But after using it for a while, the author found that RSS information is often updated once a day, which is very depressed. But after research. The author finally realized the real-time update of the information content of the subscriber. The RSS reader on the sidebar actually displays the RSS feed file that the user subscribes to through the Internet Explorer 7.0 browser. If you want to set it, you need to open the IE browser first, and click the RSS feed button in the favorite bar. Click on the corresponding feed, right click and select Properties, you can enter the RSS subscription properties (Figure 2). At this time, in the pop-up property window, you can select the update frequency, such as 15 minutes or 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc. through the “custom” schedule menu to ensure that the latest information is received in real time. At the same time, it is also possible to set whether to automatically download attachments, etc. (Figure 3). By setting the RSS feed properties of Internet Explorer, you can easily set the update time and let the Vista sidebar display the latest news content in real time, so that users can quickly understand the major events that are currently happening.
