How to enable Remote Desktop for Windows Vista

In Windows Vista, the Remote Desktop feature is turned off in the default installation, so if you need to operate Windows Vista from another PC at work, you need to change the corresponding Settings to open the remote desktop feature.

The corresponding settings are not complicated. You can open the management interface by clicking "Control Panel" => "System and Maintenance" => "System" or right click on the desktop "Computer" icon, and select "Properties" to open the management interface. Select from the task list on the right. "Remote Settings", the corresponding settings page will pop up:

If you are remotely connecting to the system from another client running Windows Vista, you can use the "only allowable running band" at the bottom. "Network connection for remote authentication of network-level authentication" option, which provides greater security; if you want to connect to the system from a Windows 2000/XP client, you can only use "Computers that are allowed to run any version of Remote Desktop" Connection", of course, this will bring certain risks.

It should be noted that to enable remote desktop, you must ensure that the computer does not go to sleep when it is idle, otherwise the remote connection will fail. After the setting is completed, you can further set up the user who allows remote connection - non-administrator group, any user in the administrator group automatically has remote connection permission.

As for the firewall, you don't have to make any settings manually. Windows Vista will automatically add the rules to the firewall after enabling Remote Desktop.
