Using MSDOS.SYS to install two Windows 98 at the same time

Everyone who pays attention to software learning and enjoys playing games, after installing all kinds of software, WINDOWS registry is getting bigger and bigger, not only reduces the running speed of the system, but also deletes games that you don't want to play. It is also easy to cause the system to crash. In fact, you can use MSDOS.SYS to install two WINDOWS at the same time, one for learning and the other for entertainment, isn't it wonderful? The steps are as follows:

1. Install the first WIN98. Note that during the installation process, choose to install in C:WINDOWS. After the installation is complete, create a subdirectory first in the root directory of the D drive, remove the MSDOS.SYS read-only, hidden, system properties from the root directory of the C drive, and then copy it to D. :first directory.

2. Install the second WIN98. Boot the system with the floppy disk drive driver, insert the WIN98 CD into the CD-ROM drive, start installing the second WIN98, and install it in D:WINDOWS. Note that during the installation process, the installation program will prompt to overwrite the original WIN98 or re-install the system. You should choose to reinstall your system. After the installation is successful, create a subdirectory second in the root directory of the C drive, and remove the MSDOS.SYS from the root directory of the C drive (note that the current MSDOS.SYS is overwritten by the previous MSDOS.SYS when the second WIN98 is installed). Properties and copy them to the C:second directory.

3, using Notepad (now with the second WIN98) to create a batch file one.bat, the content is copy d: firstmsdos.sys c:, save the file type select all files (*.*), The extension ( *.bat) cannot be omitted and is stored in the d:first directory.

4, create a one.bat shortcut. Right click on the desktop, select New -> shortcut, enter the source file path d:firstone.bat, name the one.bat shortcut as the first WIN98, then right click on the first WIN98, select Properties -> ; program, run selection minimized, close when selected to exit, OK, OK, run the shortcut just created, restart the computer, how, is it back to the first WIN98?

5, using Notepad (now with the first WIN98) to create a batch file two.bat, the content is copy c: secondmsdos.sys c:, save the file type select all files (*.*), The extension ( *.bat) cannot be omitted and is stored in the c:second directory.

6. Repeat step 4 to create a shortcut for two.bat and you're done.

I have only tried to install two versions of WIN98 at the same time. As for other different versions of Win95/Win98, interested friends may wish to give it a try. If you have any questions, please send E-mail to [email protected] Explore.
