Quick Access to Specified Folders - Using "Favorites" to Create a Hot Folder List

For Favorites in Explorer, everyone is always on the Internet Used to save some wonderful URLs, but ignore its use on the local hard drive. There are a lot of folders in the hard disk, and the most frequently accessed ones. In order to avoid opening the frequently used folders layer by layer every time, some users use software such as "FileBox eXtender", in fact, use favorites. This feature can be implemented without having to install these additional software.

First open these folders, then click the "Favorites→Add to Favorites" command to save the shortcut of the folder in the favorites. You can directly open the Explorer next time. Click into the appropriate folder. We can also add frequently used files to the favorites, just right click and drag the file to the "Favorites", keep pressing the right button and pop up the drop-down menu, move to the menu and release the right button, select " Create a shortcut here command. If there is more content in the favorites, we only need to save the URLs and folders in different categories. In addition, by clicking the small arrow next to the Back or Forward button on the Explorer toolbar, you can open a drop-down list of folders and file shortcuts you just visited.

Tip: We can change the number of folders or files that the Explorer has recently opened by modifying Group Policy. Click "Start → Run", enter "gpedit.msc" and press Enter, then expand "User Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Windows Explorer", double-click "Maximum Number of Recent Documents", enable this Set and select the appropriate number of documents to save.

Quick "Open", "Save" files - Set "Location Bar Display Items"

When opening or saving files in an application, you often need to "open" or "save" Multiple clicks in the dialog box will open the desired folder. In fact, we can define the display item of the location bar by itself, taking Windows XP as an example:

Open the "Group Policy Editor", and then expand "User Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Windows Explorer → Universal Open "File dialog box", double-click to open the "Items displayed in the location bar", enter the path to the common folder in the project bar. Since only 5 items can be displayed, we of course have to keep one item to display the favorites. After the settings take effect, open "Notepad", click "File" → "Open" to see if some changes have occurred in the dialog box (as shown)?
