XP how to access win7 shared files

In the same LAN, if you use the system is XP then can not access the win 7 computer? The answer is no.

Four factors for LAN sharing:

First, user rights

Second, security settings

Third, the same network segment (that is, the same gateway)

Fourth, must be in the same working group.

Two computers at home, one with XP, one with win7, router with LAN connection. It used to be the same as the workgroup name of the two machines. By default, win7 can access the share on xp. File, but XP can't access win7.

Find the reason to find win7 default Guest (guest account) is forbidden, you need to manually open:

*Open Guest account: Right click on my computer\\Admin\\User has a Guest, double click Remove the checkmark from the " Account has been disabled"

*Delete<quo;Deny access to this computer from the network> The guest account in the item: Run Group Policy (gpedit.msc)\\Local Computer\\Computer Configuration\\Windows Settings\\Security Settings\\Local Policies\\ User Rights Assignment\\Deny access to this computer from the network. Check the guest and delete it. (Win7 default guest is not allowed to access the share)

*Disable Account: Local account with blank password only allows console login&

Note: Some anti-virus software updates The guest account will also be disabled. In this case, in addition to viewing the above three operations, you need to:

*Run the service policy <;Services.msc”. Start "Cllipbook Server" (folder server): This service allows other users on your network to see your folder. Of course, sometimes you can change it to manual startup, and then use other programs to post information on your network.

*If the Clipbook service cannot be started. Error 1068: The dependent service or group could not be started. You need this step (you can see their dependencies): first turn on Network DDE DSDM (if it is turned on, go to the second step), then turn on Network DDE, then open Clipbook.

Finally, set up win7 file sharing, and add the Guest (guest account) permission to the shared folder.

Although you are using the XP system, you can still access the win 7 computer, just use the above method to operate.
