If the Windows Vista sidebar weather fails and the solution

  

Chinese Vista system "weather" gadgets are not available, the reason has been confirmed not because of the system language, but because of the locale.
1. Open Control Panel > Clock, Language & Regions > Regional & Language Options
Set “ Current Format" to “English(US)”
Go to " Location "Set "Current Location" to "United States"
Go to "Manage", click "Change System Locale", set to "English(US)"
After restarting the computer, the <;weather” gadget is ready to use.
2, click the settings button in the upper right corner of the weather widget, use the English or Hanyu Pinyin to enter the name of the city you are looking for in the "Current Location" text box. For example, Beijing can enter "beijing" or " Peking", Urumqi can enter "wulumuqi" or "urumqi", press Enter to find the city you want.
3, Note: After the above area is set to the United States, the system number /currency /time /date and so on will be displayed in English, and will cause non-Unicode programs (QQ, etc.) can not display Chinese characters.
You can click "Customize this format" in the regional and language options to reset the number/currency/time/date according to Chinese habits.
