How to install a perfect system for rookie
I believe that for those prawn-level characters, it is not difficult to install the system, but it is non-stop. "Next step" ! But for rookie-level characters may be a difficult thing. Today, we will use Windows XP as an example to tell everyone about the experience of installing the system. I hope that it will help you.
Before installing the system:
First think about which disk to install the system on, and then organize the disk. The finishing work mentioned here is to save the useful files to another disk to prevent accidental deletion when formatting. Also, if your machine's hardware drive is not found, it is recommended to use the tool software to save the driver. Windows Optimizer can do this.
It's important to note that all the things in My Documents are counted in the C drive. Don't forget to save the files in it. The path to favorites, etc. varies from system to system. Generally, under C:\\Documents and Settings, there is a folder named after your machine login name. When you open it, you will see the favorites and copy them to another disk.
After doing all of the above, you can basically start loading the system. Restart your computer and press the DEL key to enter the BIOS setup. Some people don't know when to press the DEL button here, then tell you a stupid way, just restart, just keep pressing. Also, because of the differences in motherboard manufacturers, the shortcut keys to enter the BIOS are also different. Some are F2, some are F10, and generally have a prompt at the low end of the screen when booting.
Don't change it after entering the BIOS, because the things inside are very important. If you make a mistake, you may not even get into the system. We only need to change the order of the drive when the computer starts.
It's hard to say how to find this, because the BIOS settings will vary from motherboard to motherboard. Generally, under the BOOT tab, it is ok to start the computer with an optical drive. When the BIOS is set, there will be related prompts on the right. The rookie can follow the prompts. Don't rush to restart after you have made it, put the installation disk into the CD-ROM drive, press F10 to save and restart.
At this time, pay attention to observation. When starting, the computer will detect the optical drive first. A line of characters appears below the screen (the specific English is forgotten, sweat), which means that you can press any key to enter the CD to start. Click (I don't know when to press it, wait for the boot after the boot, press the space bar, and knock the keyboard a few times. There is nothing wrong with it. Please don't hit the Del button, huh, huh~!), hear the CD-ROM drive Beginning to go crazy, the process of installing the system officially started!
Install the system:
Look at the prompts on the screen, because they are all Chinese, so there is almost no need to introduce anything. First, the user needs to choose whether to install a new operating system or repair, choose to install a new operating system, and then press F8 to agree to those protocols, and the drive letter selection interface appears.
Use the keyboard up and down keys to move the cursor to the drive letter you want to install, press the “D” key, the system will prompt that deleting the disk will delete all the data, regardless of it, then press “L” The key is then determined to be deleted. When finished, the screen returns to the previous interface. Then select “ Install WindowsXP on the current disk, (probably meaning, the original does not remember) and press Enter, the system prompts to format the disk. Select “ fast NTFS mode & format; format, the format interface appears, wait until the progress bar reaches 100%, the computer will automatically load the installation file in the CD-ROM drive, about 8 minutes (depending on the drive speed) After the completion, the system automatically restarts.
Note that the installation disk in the CD-ROM drive should be taken out at this time in order to avoid automatic reading after restarting. (Do not take it out, you can not hit the keyboard at this time)
After rebooting, enter the installation interface again. At this time, install the disk and put it in and install it. You don't need any settings. “The next step is ok. However, there is a process of entering the serial number in the middle.
This process is about 40 minutes, during which the screen will display some information about WindowsXP related functions, you can pay attention to it. After the completion, the system prompts to remove the installation disk. After you take it out, restart it, and enter the BIOS to change the boot sequence back to the hard disk boot, basically complete the installation process!
After installing the system:
Generally, the drivers for common hardware are installed after entering the system, but not all. At this time, you need to install it yourself. First check which machines are not installed! Right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties". Click on "Device Manager" in the "Hardware" tab. Any question mark icon in front of the device indicates that the device has a problem. Double click and follow the prompts above to install the driver. Until the previous "question mark" has disappeared.
Drivers that need to be installed generally have graphics cards, sound cards, network cards, cats, and some more advanced machines, such as infrared, Bluetooth and other adapter drivers.
Here are some optimization settings for the system. If your machine configuration is not high, it is recommended to do as I said.
1> Right click on the screen and select “Properties”. Click the "Appearance" tab, select “Windows Classic Style" in the "Appearance & Button" drop-down menu, and then adjust the screen resolution uppercase according to your preferences in the “Settings" tab, generally 1024*768. If you are using a normal CRT monitor, you need to click the “Monitor” tab to adjust the “screen refresh rate” to “85 Hz” and click OK! Does the screen look much more comfortable?
2> Right-click on the taskbar and select “Properties'; in the “Taskbar” tab item, check the box next to “Show Quick Launch”. Then click the “"Start" menu” tab to change the menu category to "Classic "Start" menu", click "OK" to see if it looks comfortable now. (Hey, my personal feeling!)
3> Right click on my computer and select the “Advanced” tab. Click the “Settings" button in the Performance item. In the visual effects item, first click “ adjust to the best performance & rdquo;, then select “Use common tasks in the folder in the following options. If you do this step, then click the “Advanced” label next to “Visual Effects” and click the “Settings” button in the “Virtual Memory” section. In the opened property box, first position the cursor on the C drive, click on the following "No paging file", and then click on the D drive (which disk on your machine is larger), enter it in the custom size. For the corresponding value, click the “Set" button and click OK.
The setting of virtual memory should be based on its own memory capacity! In general, the capacity of the memory itself is 1.5 times! 4> Right click on “My Computer”, select the “System Restore” label, and if not, select “Close System Restore on all drives”. This ordinary person does not need it!
5> At this point you will find a “Shield” icon at the system tray in the lower right corner of the screen, which is the Windows XP Security Center. Double-click to open it, and when you don't have your own anti-virus software installed, "firewall" and "virus protection" are turned on. This security will be relatively higher!
6> After doing this, click “Start”, select “Windows Update", then open IE to connect to the windows upgrade website, follow the instructions above to upgrade, the steps are essential ! You may need to restart your computer after the upgrade is complete.
7> Open any folder and click “Tools” from the menu bar and select “Folder Options”. Click the “View” tab to "do not cache thumbnails", "remember the view position of each folder", “ display a message when the mouse points to a folder or desktop item” The hooks before the class are removed. Click the <quo;apply to all folders" above and click OK!
8> Right click on IE and select “Properties>, in the “General” tab, click “Use blank page”, then click OK!
The last words
Here, our newbie system is basically finished, but I would like to remind you:
1> Anti-virus software must be installed, and often updated, regular anti-virus, do not think that it will not be poisoned without messing up the website.
2> The system must be patched. Microsoft will release the patch in the second week of each month. At that time, it must be updated according to the method I mentioned above.
3> Do not download the installation software indiscriminately. The download links provided by many informal websites may be virus-bound or bundled with a bunch of junk software. Please be sure to check the options when downloading, and remove the unneeded software before the hook.
4> Don't change your computer settings, don't arbitrarily delete your computer's files.
