Users who are still using Windows XP Home and Professional, and who have been getting updates through the Windows Update service, will receive this notification on the desktop screen. Users can turn off the notification function by using the checkbox, otherwise they will receive the same reminder on the 8th of each month until the notification is closed.
This notice will also contain a link to the relevant Microsoft Declaration page.
In addition, Microsoft also provided a system migration tool called "Windows XP Computer Moving Express" this week, which can transfer users' files and settings from one PC to other running Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 PC. Developed by Laplink, the tool makes it easy for users to switch to new devices.
The Computer Moving Express will be available for download in English later this week via the Windowsxp.com website, while the French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish versions will be available later in March, Korean version , Chinese, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese will also be released.
Starting April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide any patches and fixes for Windows XP. But before July 14, 2015, Microsoft will continue to provide anti-malware signatures for the system, the Microsoft Security Essentials engine.
