An accidental opportunity, when I used the IsoBuster software, I found that it can see the files that are not normally seen on the CD, so I used IsoBuster software to view the Windows XP installation disk, and I found a new discovery: Windows There is a Bootable CD directory on the XP installation CD. There are two files in this directory: BootCatalog.cat and Microsoft Corporation.img. Are these two files controlling the boot of the disc? I copied these two files with IsoBuster and I managed to create a Windows XP CD with integrated SP1. The author will share the production process with you:

First integrate the SP1 file into the original There are Windows XP CD files. Create a Windows XP directory on a partition on the hard disk, such as WinXP (must ensure that the remaining space on the hard disk is more than 1GB, I choose G disk, the reader can choose according to their own situation). Copy all the files on the Windows XP CD to this directory, create an SP1 directory, and extract all the contents of the Service Pack 1 file into this directory. Enter "MS-DOS mode" and type the command "G:\\SP1\\update\\update.exe -s:G:\\WinXP" so that the system can start the integration work. The other parameters of the Update file can be viewed with the update /? command.

After the integration is complete, we can perform the burning operation. I use Nero Burning ROM 6.0 plus Simplified Chinese language pack. After starting Nero, select "CD-ROM" in the left option of "New Edit", select the "image file" for the bootable image file location, and browse to Microsoft Corporation previously extracted from the original Windows XP CD with IsoBuster software. The .img file, this step is the key to whether it can be started after the production is completed. Be sure to select this file. When "Open Advanced Settings" is selected, "Virtual Type" selects "No Virtual" and "Number of Loaded Sectors" is set to 4 (as shown in the figure). Set a label, and select "New" after selecting "Final CD" in "Burn", then drag all the files in the XP directory to burn it! After burning, you already have a Windows XP CD that integrates SP1 and can be booted!
