After modifying the boot screen, we naturally can't forget its siblings - login screen. As in the previous example, modify the login screen to use the ReplaceUI.exe tool. However, unlike the previous example, you only need to click on the software, select logonui.exe and click "Apply Current", as shown in Figure 9.

Step 3. Improvements

After the above steps, we have this in our hands XP, it has changed a lot now. However, if it wants to become a real Vista, it is still a long way off. Below, let's start with some improvements in detail.

1. Replace system icon

Compared with the old XP system, Vista has a lot of changes in icons. Not only are the original icons updated, but many new styles have been added. However, looking at these hundreds of beautiful gadgets, how can we quickly replace the icons? The answer is the IP package.

Originally, the so-called IP package here is actually an icon installation package. With the support of special software, it can replace all the icons on the whole computer at one time. The specific operation is also very simple, as long as we install the Iconpackager software in advance, and then double-click the Vista_RTM.iconpackage file in the IP package to import the new icon into the software. Then, click on the "OK" button of Iconpackager again, and the icon replacement is completed, as shown in Figure 10.
