Unable to stop universal volume solution in XP

During the use of Windows XP, do you often encounter the problem of "can't stop the 'universal volume' device now. Please stop the device later"? Frequently plug in u disk, mp3, mobile hard disk and other devices, when you want to safely delete it, often there will be no use tips on the map! In some cases, the corresponding window is closed, and it can be safely deleted after a few refreshes! But most of the time we have to force it out!

The first method:

A very small and practical software abroad, only 191KB, called unlocker
, very easy to use! This software can unlock USB connected devices! It is 100% safe to remove the USB connection!

The second method:

We only need to turn off the preview
function of the system, this problem will not appear again, the operation method is: double click on me Computer - Tools - Folder Options - General - Tasks - Use Windows traditional style folders, then click Apply - OK on the line. This is ok!

The third method:

Close the open file that exists on the mobile device first. Do other operations on the hard disk partition, such as "copy", "paste", etc., and then stop. The "rundll32.exe" process ends and can be deleted normally. Method: Press the "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del" key combination at the same time, then the "Task Manager" window will appear, click the "Process" tab, and look for "rundll32" in the "Image Name". Exe "process (if there are multiple "rundll32.exe" processes, all can be closed.), select the "rundll32.exe" process, and then click "end process", then the "task manager warning" will pop up, then In order for the user to determine whether to close the process, clicking "Yes" will close the "rundll32.exe" process.

There is also a last resort, turn off the computer, after the flash drive's indicator light is off, you can safely pull it out; if there is no flash memory, then wait until the computer power indicator is off. It can be safely pulled out.

But the above methods have all happened. "I can't stop the general volume device now, please wait for the device later." Is there any way to prevent this problem?

First insert the flash memory into the USB interface, then right-click the "My Computer" icon in Windows XP, expand "Properties → Hardware → Device Manager → Disk Drive" and find "USB Flash". Drive USB Device" (different brands of flash names may be different), then double-click it to open the "USB Flash Drive USB Device Properties" dialog box. Switch to the "Policy" tab, select "Optimize for quick delete", click "OK" to exit. In the future, ignore the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon in the system tray. As long as the data is not read or written to the flash memory (ie, the flashing light does not flash), you can directly remove the flash memory from the USB interface.

The fourth method:

Uninstall the entire USB driver, reinstall

The fifth method:

In the "Start" - "Run" Enter this code: REGSVR32 /U SHMEDIA.DLL
